S823 Register New User Help

This screen allows you to set up your personal log-in account for your Child Support Recalculation Program (RP) file(s).

RP File Number:

  • If you have more than one RP file, you only need to enter one of the file numbers.
  • All RP files begin with RP, followed by six digits.
  • RP must be used at the beginning of file number (e.g. RP000999).

Registration Number:

  • Enter the registration number that was given to you by staff at the Child Support Recalculation Program.
  • If you do not yet have a registration number, please phone RP staff at 780-401-1111 (dial toll-free within Alberta at 310-0000).

Email Address:

  • If you don’t have an email address, there are a number of Internet sites available where you can get free email addresses. Do a Google search for “free email”. You can also check with your Internet service provider.
  • Your email address must be unique to you.  It cannot be an address that has been used by someone else.
  • Email addresses are not case sensitive.

Password:

For your security, you are encouraged to never share passwords or answers to the password re-set questions.  You should not reuse any password already associated with your email or other accounts.  You are also encouraged to frequently change your password.

 

Passwords are case sensitive.  Keep in mind these rules as you select your password:

  • Password must be at least 7 characters long, but no more than 20 characters long.
  • Password must include at least one upper case letter
  • Password must include at least one lower case letter
  • Password must include at least one number
  • Password cannot include special characters

Re-Enter Password:

  • Must be typed exactly the same as the first time you entered the password.

Password Recovery Questions:

  • These questions are used to help the system identify who you are, so that you can change your password in the future or get a new temporary password if you forget your password.
  • Pick one question for each of the five spaces provided.  Five different questions must be selected.
  • Choose your questions carefully.  Select questions that other people (particularly the other party on your RP file) will not be able to answer.
  • Never share your password recovery questions or answers with anyone.

Password Recovery Answers:

  • Choose an answer to the corresponding question in each of the five spaces provided.
  • Choose answers that will be easy for you to remember.
  • Answers must be at least two characters long.

Save:

  • Saves all the information you have typed on this screen.

Cancel:

  • The system returns to the Recalculation Info Online (RIO) login screen without registering you as a new user of RIO.
