Purposes:

 

This screen allows MIMS Users to record the scheduled court date for the MEP initiated court event.

 

  1. MIMS user must be an authorized actor to update on this screen.

               The following actors have the ability to update:

·         Administrative Assistants

·         System Administrator

·         Compliance 5 Agent (only for Abandon alternate flow)

·         MEP Senior Management (only for Abandon alternate flow)

·         SIU Agent (only for Abandon alternate flow)

·         Legal Services (view ability)

Check if Brief has been prepared

Counsel

Enter which counsel has been retained if counsel has been retained.

Select if the need no longer exists for a court date to be set.

UPDATE MEP INITITATED COURT ACITIVITY

 

Purposes:

 

This screen allows MIMS Users to maintain accurate and current records regarding outstanding MEP initiated court actions.

 

1)       MIMS user must be an authorized actor to update on this screen.

                The following actors have the ability to update:

·         Administrative Assistants

·         Compliance 5 Agent 

·         SIU Agent

·         System Administrator

·         Everyone can view

Helpful Hints:

·         Scheduled MEP initiated court events without a counsel require a work request for ‘retain counsel’.

·         Scheduled MEP initiated court events without a Brief prepared requires a work request for “Prepare Brief” due 7 days before scheduled court date.

·         Some outcomes are ‘Final’ and will result in the tool ceasing to be active, while others will remain active.

·          Select the option of Order Granted when an order has a clause such as “ if debtor defaults he can be put back on the list with 2 days notice.”

Order Granted (Final)

Select if a final order was granted

Additional Remarks is required.  This is a final outcome

Select if an order was granted and there is potential for the debtor to have to appear. (i.e. Debtor can be put back on the list with 2 days notice if he/she defaults on the required payments)

Date

Enter this date when the date is known.

Enter the court time when it is known.

Adjourned (Final)

Select when an order was granted with the clause “Adjourned Sine Die”

This is the date the debtor is released from incarceration (Final).  This is a mandatory field.  Cannot be a future date

Select if the debtor has been released from Incarceration due to the creditor willing to accept a lump sum payment for the debtor to get out of jail and the Debtor appears before the Master to create a new deal to be implemented into a new court order

This is the date the debtor is released from incarceration.  This is a mandatory field.  Cannot be a future date
