CONFIRMATION LTO REGISTRATION

 

Purposes:

 

This screen allows MIMS users to confirm the pending registration of a lien at the Land Titles Office.

 

1.        MIMS user must have applicable security authorization to view files.

            The following groups have access to this panel:

 

·         Call Center Agent

·         Collection Agents (RGPU, File Intervention, Compliance 4)

·         Compliance Support Agent (only update when confirming)

·         Compliance 5 Agent

·         MEP Senior Management

·         ISO Agent

·         SIU Agent

·         Supervisor/Team Lead

 

Helpful Hints:

·         Only Collection Support Agents have ability to complete a LTO Registration.

·         Only initiated LTO requests can be abandoned, confirmed requests may not be abandoned.

Letters:

·         L28 – Debtor Notice of Filing at LTO (only for Initial Confirmation by Collections Agents)

 

Procedure:

1.       Select the appropriate status of the land title lien.

2.       Enter your comments in the field box labeled ‘Additional Remarks’.

3.       Click the ‘Save’ button to save the date entered.

4.      The system generates the L28 – Debtor Notice of Filing at LTO.

 

S81 Land Title Liens  (Registration Confirmation)

Completed  (Registration #)

Select if the lien registration has been completed.

The two registration numbers should be entered in the boxes provided.

Only displays for Collect Support Agents and System Administrators.

Abandon

Select if the lien registration has been abandoned.

Additional remarks are mandatory.

Select this if you only wish to make comments regarding the file.

REQUEST A POSTPONEMENT

 

Purposes:

 

This screen allows MIMS users to file a postponement of an active LTO.

 

1.       MIMS user must have applicable security authorization to view files.

            The following groups have access to this panel:

·         Compliance Support Agent (only update when confirming)

Procedure:

1.       Enter the desired MEP file number into the field labeled ‘File Number’ and then click the ‘Get’ button to retrieve the file. After the registration has been confirmed, this update screen will be available (see picture below).

2.       Select the appropriate the ‘Postponement’ option.

3.       Select the appropriate reason:

·         ‘Refinancing – Funds received by MEP’

·         ‘Refinancing – Funds not received by MEP’

4.       Enter your comments into the field box labeled ‘Additional Remarks’.

5.       Click the ‘Save’ button to save the data entered.

3.        Under the ‘Confirmation’ section, select the appropriate status of the discharge request.

·         If ‘Completed’ is the selected, the discharge will be approved.

·         If ‘Abandon’ is selected, the discharge is no longer pending.

·         If ‘Remarks Only’ is selected the status of the discharge has not changed, only remarks are made.

4.        Enter your remarks in the field box labeled ‘Additional Remarks’.

5.        Click the ‘Save’ button to save the data entered.

VIEW NON-EDITABLE LTO

 

Purposes:

 

This screen allows MIMS users to view an LTO record that is no longer editable (i.e. it has been abandoned, discharged or removed).

 

1.       MIMS user must have applicable security authorization to view files.

            The following groups have access to this screen:

 

·         All Internal MEP Users

·         HR & E

·         Legal Services Agent

Collections à Collection Tool History à LTO

 

Procedure:

1.       On the ‘S85 Collection Tool History’ screen, enter the appropriate MEP file number into the field provided and click the ‘Get’ button.

2.       Click on the ‘Alter Criteria’ button located at the bottom of the screen.

3.       The system will take you to ‘S38 History of Collection’ screen, where you check the unmarked box ‘Concluded’ located in the status section of the screen.

4.       Click the ‘Apply’ button and the system will return you to the ‘S85 Collection Tool History’ screen where all concluded tools will now be displayed.

5.       Click on the appropriate concluded LTO.

6.       The system will display the non-editable screen of ‘S81 Land Title Liens’.
